Focused Community Strategies is dedicated to creating thriving neighborhoods in places like South Atlanta. Their goal is to take a different approach than most nonprofits do in under-resourced areas focusing on mixed-income housing, economic development, neighborhood engagement, and training/consulting. A key to cultivating these neighborhoods is creating jobs and a thriving local economy. They have helped start local businesses - grocery stores, coffee shops, bike repair centers, etc. - and train people within the community to run them bringing both needed services and additional employment opportunities to the area. Using the FCS brand, we created multiple bright, whimsical, illustrated posters to assist in getting the community connected with some of the FCS ventures in South Atlanta: Carver Market, Community Grounds, and more.
